I had been shopping around online for a new mother board bundle to replace the majority of my PC's innards and decided to see if my local Computer Orbit could come anywhere near those prices. Unexpectedly, they matched the BEST prices and spec I'd seen online and even reduced the cost of a case and installation for me. Both the salesman and the guy installing everything talked me through everything I asked, giving me tips on the rest of the installation and recommending other ways I could save money, have a safer installation and get more out of my PC. Great stock, reliable service, good advice. Been buying from here for over 10 years - prices are competitive and will price match if they aren't. Techs have always been at least friendly and helpful and on occasion have been exceptional - testing and replacing a faulty motherboard in less than 10 minutes on one memorable occasion!! I buy from them to maintain our business network of about 35 PC's and this is fine, very convenient and cost effective. The problems start when I want to upgrade my home machine and the techs encourage me to order the best components that can be found - kinda like encouraging a drunk to buy another drink... |

I bought a new AOC monitor for my PA, she had difficulty getting used to it and it was giving her a headache, the monitor was ok but my PA still had problems, Oliver was really helpful and offered to exchange the monitor for a larger 22 Viewsonic, great service and great prices. I've been using the Gateshead store for maybe 10 years, and keep going back for several reasons, based mostly around service and cost. Prices are so competitive that I've virtually stopped shopping around online: at worst the difference is REALLY minimal, and even then Id rather deal locally and walk out with a box, than with some anonymous trader online who can offer little help if needed. Service is always good too: they'll frequently try to sort a tech query over the phone for me, and in-store could not be more helpful! |

I have just visited your Old Durham Road Branch in Gateshead. Please thank the guy who served me. Unfortunately I did not get his name but he has blond hair and was a very tall lad about 6' 7". I have had problems with my keyboard and was browsing for a new one. This guy asked the relevant questions, knew the answer immediately and showed me how to correct it. No sale, therefore, for a keyboard, however I did purchase £16 of goods and will come back to your store for any future requirements as well as recommending it to friends. In this day and age of couldn't care less attitude it was a pleasure to be treated with courtesy and not as a quick sale; hence this e-mail. |

Thank you for the two laptops that you generously gave to our Girls' Brigade Company at a discounted rate. They are very useful and we use them every Tuesday night. We have several different age groups and having the laptops means that we can work in different rooms and move around easily. It is also good that we can lock the laptops away securely. The other computer that we have is very old and it is difficult for us to transfer files using our USB memory sticks. Also, having extra laptops means that we can all take part in computer work. We are very happy with the laptops and look forward to using them each Tuesday. We even had visitors from France and they were able to work on the computers with us, they have even said thank you too. |
